Ring worms are caused by several types of microscopic organisms that belong to the Dermatophytes group. This bacteria thrives in warm and wet areas. These include areas where we sweat more like the groin, underarms and the feet. Ringworms enter the body through a break in the skin caused by a cut, scratch or broken skin due to eczema.
